NATURAL WINE GUIDE MILAN
Milan, Italy, 🇮🇹 is one of the main cities when it comes to natural wine! With its overwhelming amount of beautiful bars and restaurants, it’s not always easy to choose, so we decided to make a natural wine guide with our favorite places, in case you ever find yourself in this fantastic city.
And as a tiny plus at the end, some food tips await you too!
Here's Our TOP 4 Natural Wine Places!
1. ENOTECA NATURALE
Our go-to natural wine place with a marvelous and huge garden and modern interiors. The selection of pure natural wines is unbelievable. You find wines from all over the world. From Italy, to Georgia, France, Slowenia, Czech Republic, Japan etc.. The staff - from waiter to sommelier - is beyond skilled, thrilled and just lovely and casual. No wine menus, it’s all inside their heads. You say what you like and they will blow your mind. Great snacks and small meals to go with your wine, typical for an Italian Enoteca. Often fantastic choice of music. Reserving a table, especially in summer is highly recommended!
Address: Via Santa Croce, 19

2. ENOTECA FRIZZANTE
Born 2022, this is the wild child of Enoteca Naturale with an entirely different concept. Younger, carefree and ready to party. For now, you can find enoteca naturale frizzante collaborating with the crew of Sidewalk Kitchens Milano. Another amazing concept of the best street food from all over the world on one short sidewalk. You can also get some speciality coffee there. We had a beyond delicious Chuck’s NYC Smash Burger along with some Japanese Katsu snacks and salads, obviously all paired with a Hungarian natural wine. What else! No reservations needed, walk in, eat well and drink well.
Address: Via Bonvesin de la Riva 3

3. PALINUROBAR
Lovely natural wine bar with a lot of wine love and a small terrace in Città Studi. Amazing music choice that hits you with some forgotten, emotional nostalgia. Fantastic natural wine list and small plates and snacks to accompany your wine choice. Very cozy for an aperitivo. One, two or three glasses - eh, who are we kidding…if you start like this you should get a bottle and share. A chat, a snack and a cigarette if you want. Tables can be reserved.
Address: Via Giovanni Paisiello, 28

4. CANTINE ISOLA
On Via Paolo Sarpi, the main street in China Town, the small Cantine Isola awaits you for a glass or two, after you devoured a gazillion of beautiful Chinese dumplings (more about this further down below). One of the typical Enotecas of Milan, with bottles covering the walls from the bottom to the ceiling. They don’t have a lot of seats and tables, but people love even standing outside chatting with a wine glass in their hand. Precise wine knowledge is paired with great friendliness and a lot of simplicity. No reservations, just go.

FOOD GUIDE TO MILAN
CHINA TOWN
In case you crave Asian food no matter if after or before you drink, you go to Via Paolo Sarpi.
HERE'S OUR TOP THREE:
1. Ravioleria Sarpi
Hands down best dumplings EVER! Filled with biodynamically sourced Italian meat from the butcher Macelleria Sirtori right next to it (they actually collaborate) and made with traditional, artisanal Italian flour from Mulino Sobrino and organically sourced eggs. If you wanna see culture and integration, there you go! Try their filled crepes too!
Address: Via Paolo Sarpi 27
Web: https://www.laravioleriasarpi.com/
2. Macelleria Sirtori
Try the grilled skewers and NERVETTI! Not for everyone but luckily nose to tail eating is a thing in Milan. This is how it's done!
Address: Via Paolo Sarpi 27
No Web just go if you appreciate traditional things made from ethically sourced meat.
3. MO Sarpi
MO makes traditional filled pancakes from the Xian region and beautiful Bao.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
TRATTORIA MASUELLI
Since 1921, still one of the best traditionally Milanese Restaurants in case you are looking for local cuisine and good wine. We had the ossobucco con risotto alla Milanese (best one so far!) and lamb carrée with sautéed greens. Fantastic food and service. Very old school. Reservation is essential!
Address: Viale Umbria, 80
