Grande Pestilence 2023
About 'Grande Pestilence' by La Sorga:
Half Cinsault, half Grenache, from 70-year-old vines in Faugères, destemmed and macerated for 21 days, then aged for 9 months in sandstone jars. The aromatic profile is intensely "Faugères" - thyme, strawberry, and rose notes leap from the glass with remarkable intensity. The palate is generous and peppery, brimming with fruit and impressive length.
Zero sulfites, zero filtration - just pure terroir expression! This is a beautiful representation of what natural winemaking can achieve with old vines on exceptional soils. A wine of true character that would shine alongside Mediterranean dishes!
